Kerry Leigh Roarty, 66, of Kansas City, MO, formerly of St. Joseph, went home to God, Saturday, October 8, 2016 at NorthCare Hospice, North Kansas City Hospital. She was born in St. Joseph, July 8, 1950 to the late Franklin E. Keller, Jr., and Jeanne (Ziemendorff) Keller.



Surviving are her daughters, Amy Leigh Black, Parkville, and Monica Jeanne Hart, Kansas City, two granddaughters, Lauren Leigh Black and Danielle Jeanne Black, both of Kansas City and one grandson, Aiden J. Salazar, Kansas City, and one great-grandson, Julian A. Rodriguez, Kansas City. Also surviving are...

Kerry Leigh Roarty, 66, of Kansas City, MO, formerly of St. Joseph, went home to God, Saturday, October 8, 2016 at NorthCare Hospice, North Kansas City Hospital. She was born in St. Joseph, July 8, 1950 to the late Franklin E. Keller, Jr., and Jeanne (Ziemendorff) Keller.



Surviving are her daughters, Amy Leigh Black, Parkville, and Monica Jeanne Hart, Kansas City, two granddaughters, Lauren Leigh Black and Danielle Jeanne Black, both of Kansas City and one grandson, Aiden J. Salazar, Kansas City, and one great-grandson, Julian A. Rodriguez, Kansas City. Also surviving are two sisters, Kathy Powers, St. Joseph, Kristy Keller, Tega Cay, S.C., and two brothers, Frank Keller, St. Joseph, Walter (Julie) Keller, Denver, CO., nieces, Wendy (Paul) Batliner and Kerry (Mark) Peppard, St. Joseph and Mark (Renee) Powers, Platte City, as well as a host of loving friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved son, Joseph Daniel Mack and her former husband, Robert V. Hart, St. Joseph.



Kerry had been employed at Humana, Inc. as an Executive Assistant. A 1968 graduate of Central High School, Kerry grew up in St. Joseph and attended Christ Episcopal Church with her family. Her greatest joy was her family. She was passionate about cooking meals and preparing holiday dinners for her loved ones, spending time with her grandchildren and was very attentive to her children. She loved planning wonderful and extravagant Christmas mornings for her family. She enjoyed relaxing by the pool and soaking up the sun on her deck. Kerry was known for her love of life, her gift of humor, and deep love for her adoring family.



Family visitation will be from 2-5 p.m. with a Celebration of Life service at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, October 22, 2016 at White Chapel Funeral Home, 6600 NE Antioch Rd., Gladstone, MO 64119.
